I'm sure by now everybody has spotted the references to Breaking Bad in episodes of The Walking Dead. I am a huge fan of both programs, but I have been left puzzled. Are these just references, or do they mean something more such as both programs being part of the same Universe. What if Breaking Bad takes place before the apocalypse or what if these are just little references included since both programs are aired on AMC. Some people have speculated Heisenberg's meth is the reason for the outbreak, saying that the chemicals from it caused anyone who came into contact with it got infected. If you were a fan of then you will know that blue sky (Heisenberg's Meth) actually began to be distributed around Europe. The question remains Is Breaking Bad a prequel of The Walking Dead? Will we see more references to the show in season 5? Is this just a little bit of fun set up by AMC? Could we potentially see a crossover between the two programs? Or maybe even an appearance from a character from Breaking Bad?
