T-DOG
I think the reason they gave Ezekiel cancer is because if you remember the scene he says that it would be easy to treat with modern medicine and the show also had him go with Eugene and they are about to meet the most Advanced group ever
In the comics. Spoiler alert by the way.
Michonne found her Daughter there and that kept her in that area
So they could have Ezekiel stay there for treatment.
I also think having Ezekiel die like that after surviving this long and everything he's lost to have him die of Cancer would just be to shitty.
I think after Henry, Ezekiel has to survive for Carol to carry on being developed. Gabriel's dialogue at the beginning of the finale makes me anxious about him though.
I think people are mainly worried about him because he dies in the comics during the war.
But that death doesn't fit he's character at all and in my opinion giving him that death pretty much reverses alot of he's development.
Plus just because he died in the comics at this point doesn't mean hell die in the show look how many deaths they changed
Ill give examples I'll put the comic character that died and next to them I will put the tv character that died
TYREESE - HERSHEL
ABRAHAN - DENISE
DALE - BOB
MORGAN - TYREESE
EZEKIEL - HENRY
ROSITA - TARA
Usually they only kill off a character the same way if the character is more of a side character for example
JIM - JIM
AMY - AMY
AXEL - AXEL
They have only kept the same death for a couple mains
GLENN - GLENN - but they also killed Abraham
JESSIE - JESSIE
SPENCER - SPENCER
ALPHA - ALPHA
These deaths were a bit different.
SHANE - SHANE - Similar because both get killed and than come back as a walker and are killed again - The difference in the comic Carl killed Shane and Rick killed Walker Shane and in the show Rick killed Shane and Carl killed Walker Shane
DOUGLAS - DEANNA - Similar they are the same character just Gender swapped and both died during the No way Out story however their deaths were different in the comics Douglas walks outside to Commit suicide and accidentally shoots Carl in the eye and in the show Deanna is bitten when the wall comes down.
Also there have been Tv characters that have outlived their comic version by quite awhile
Morgan
Carol
Tyreese
Scott
Ezekiel
Rosita
And there has been characters that lasted longer in the comics
Carl
Andrea
Sophia
Earl
Jesus
Dr Harlan Carson
Siddiq
Dante
T-Dog is loyal. I rate 10/10.
Fuck off bot
Edit: I realise you're not a bot I'm really sorry.
I think what Kapil is trying to say is that comparing ourselves to T-Dog makes us feel small, like Boss Baby.
That is understandable.
The greatest character on the show!!!
A great character that was meant to be killed off after three episodes but was so good they kept him for 3 and a bit seasons, sad death, but died helping his group
Really had mixed feelings about him but when he did that for Carol at the end was very proud of him.
What do you think?
