Aaron's Prosthetic Arm is a metal prosthetic arm used by Aaron following the loss of his real left arm. It also doubles as his primary melee weapon.

Post-Apocalypse[]

During a fight with a herd, Aaron's left arm is crushed and has to be amputated. During the six years following Rick Grimes' apparent death, Aaron has this prosthetic arm built, presumably either by Eugene or Earl Sutton given their skill in engineering and blacksmithing respectively. The end of the arm is an interchangeable attachment that Aaron at first outfits with a wooden hand while using Jesus' sword as his primary weapon following his lover's death. Due to the arm's fake nature, Aaron has been bitten on it without suffering any harm to himself.

While trapped in Alpha's Cave with a massive herd and several Whisperers, Aaron switches out the wooden hand for a mace attachment that turns his prosthetic arm into a deadly weapon. With blows to the head, he is able to put down walkers with ease and kill human enemies which proves to be extremely useful in the close quarters of the cave. Even after escaping, Aaron chooses to continue to use his mace attachment, killing several Whisperers with it over the course of the war. After the war, Aaron chooses not to switch back and, during their confrontation with Mays, Gabriel grabs Aaron's arm and uses it to kill Mays by hitting him in the head with the mace attachment, much to Aaron's shock.

Following contact between the Coalition and the Commonwealth, Aaron switches back to his wooden hand as he focuses on rebuilding and leading Alexandria in a time of relative peace. However, after being asked to help with intake at a potentially dangerous new community, Aaron switches back to his mace. During the events at Riverbend, Aaron kills the Commonwealth soldier that had shot Jesse with a blow to the head from his mace.

Following the defeat of Lance Hornsby, Aaron permanently switches back to his wooden hand attachment and Jesus' Sword. While fighting a variant walker, Aaron punches it in the face with his wooden hand. Aaron continues to use his arm in its original configuration after this, even when the Commonwealth becomes overrun by a massive herd and the mace would've been a useful weapon against such numbers.

Killed Victims[]

Trivia[]
