Alan is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is one of the passengers that survives the plane crash of Flight 462.

Alan begs for help, in which Chris unbuckles the injured passenger from his seat. As Alan tumbles to the floor, Chris notices a spinal injury on his back. Alan continues to beg for help and rejects water, indicating that he wants to be put out of his misery. After some hesitation, Chris bludgeons the suffering man to death.
