In Issue 94, Paul Monroe brings the group to the Hilltop Colony for the first time in an attempt to create a connection between their community and the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and later to combat the Saviors.

In Issue 106, Rick and company head for the Sanctuary for the first time in order to find Carl, who had recently stowed away on the Savior's truck to ambush them and assassinate Negan. Before they can arrive however, Negan meets them on the road and returns Carl safe and sound.
