Alvaro's father hugs his son goodbye before he leaves to assault the Sanctuary with the other Kingdom soldiers. He also listens to Ezekiel's rallying speech and cheers with the others at the end of the speech.

Following the six-year time jump, Alvaro's father has not been seen in the Kingdom nor was he among the Kingdom refugees to relocate to Hilltop or Alexandria, suggesting he either left the community or died due to unknown causes. Regardless, his current location and fate remain unknown.

- Khary Payton revealed in an interview covering "Some Guy" that there was a Kingdom extra who looked similar to Carlos Navarro, so they created the character of Alvaro's father and added him into the scripts.
