Maggie talks about how Amos was annoying her with his harmonica playing shortly after Hershel was born. Although she kindly asked him to stop, he continued to play his harmonica. One day while he was on a hunting expedition, she got his harmonica and buried it in the ground.
It's unknown what became of Amos after this event.
