At the Easy Stay Motor Inn, this man works as the bartender. He is on duty behind the bar when Maggie Rhee enters and takes a seat. The bartender strikes up a conversation with Maggie and pours her a drink as she explains that her cabin was raided recently by the undead and is looking for help clearing them out. The bartender reveals they have a guy at the motel who works clearing the undead from the surrounding area. As Maggie presses the bartender for more information about this man, Jones interrupts and informs the bartender that the generator needs more fuel. Before the bartender leaves, Maggie asks him where the women's restroom is, to which he points her to the hallway behind her.
At night, the bartender is still on duty when a prostitute warns everyone of the arrival of Perlie Armstrong and two other marshals. Armstrong shows the patrons Negan's Wanted poster, asking if they've seen him. Perlie reveals that they are hunting for Negan because he murdered a magistrate in cold blood along with four other people which means that Negan will be executed for his crimes under New Babylon law. "For what this man has done, he'll be dangled upside down and sawed in half lengthwise from the groin to the head, very, very slowly. This is a man who has built up an empire like a greedy king. Story goes he once lined up a group of unarmed folks, and he bashed in a man's head with a baseball bat in front of the man's pregnant wife." Perlie states that tranquillitas ordinis - tranquility, justice, order and the law - is what keeps their federation of states at peace, and he presses Jones again if she has seen Negan. The bartender remains inside as Jones is dragged outside by the marshals and subsequently executed.
