She was sick like us. She was--she was--she was not doing well. She was in pain, and she started crying. She wouldn't stop. (...) Fred didn't want her to suffer.
―Bea explaining how her daughter Emma died.[src]

Bea is a former antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. She is the wife of Fred and mother of Emma. She served as the secondary antagonist of the episode "Six Hours".

Overview[]

Bea is shown to be a mentally unstable and desperate woman. After Teddy's nukes launched, she and her family had gotten badly burnt by radiation, to the point of Bea losing her nose. Bea and her husband Fred initially are hostile with Morgan and Grace, capturing their baby and stating that it's their own baby. Though later, the two duos try to work together, it doesn't work out. Bea's daughter, Emma, had died and turned into walker because Fred had strangled her to keep her from making noise to attract walkers. However, Bea is shown to be in denial about her death, screaming for Morgan not to put her down despite her already having turned.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Bea's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 7[]

"Six Hours"[]

Bea and Fred stand guard while Morgan changes the car's tire at a body shop. Morgan warns Fred that he and Bea are highly irradiated. Walkers claw at the door, attracted to Mo's wailing. Fred warns Bea to silence Mo. Morgan notices that the walkers' faces are deformed with burns.

Grace plays music to stop Mo's crying. She and Morgan suggest they all escape together. Bea asks if they know about Padre, but Fred shushes her. Bea and Fred toss a suitcase into the car and escape. Morgan grabs Fred's rifle and stops the car with gunshots. Grace takes Mo inside a building for safety. Morgan throws Bea to the ground, but takes pity when her face bandages unravel, revealing severe radiation burns.

The group barricades themselves in a building. Bea explains that she and Fred were in a cellar when the bomb went off and that they got the burns later. Morgan says he was planning to take Mo outside of the fallout zone. Fred says they tried the same thing and ended up with the burns.

Fred and Bea show Morgan and Grace a map of the only route to safety. Fred starts to explain that the people on the radio don't want anyone knowing about the route. Grace invites Bea and Fred to bring their supplies and live at the submarine with them. Mo starts crying again. Fred worries she'll draw more walkers.

They race outside and start repairing the car. Grace suggests they head back to the sub, but Morgan insists they follow Fred and Bea's route. A car shows up in the distance. Morgan tells Grace to get Mo to safety.

Morgan hears a snuffling sound from Bea's suitcase and realizes Bea's dead baby is in the bag and has now turned. He shoots the baby in the suitcase. Bea reveals that Fred killed their baby when she became sick and cried inconsolably. Morgan yells out to Grace to warn her about Fred.
