Blade is a horse who portrayed multiple animal characters, including the Siggard Family Horse and Nelly in Season 1 and 2 of AMC's The Walking Dead.
Blade returned to the show in Season 9 and is the horse Tara rides. Because of Blade's distinctive face mark, the production team had to paint Blade's face a little to make sure it was not identical to the other characters it portrayed.
Blade is owned and trained by Equine Extremist, Tommie Turvey. Besides his appearances in The Walking Dead, Blade has also filmed for The Dark Night, Jonah Hex, War Flowers, Witless Protection, and Starship Chronicles.
