The thing is Angela Kang has confirmed the CRM is responsible for the abduction of Heath, while the only thing we know about Rick is that he was taken away via helicopter. Nothing more nothing less. We don't know their true intention. Who knows? Maybe Rick is helping the CRM with experimental projects or something, which is unlikely, sure, but since neither Kang nor Scott Gimple has provided us with futher information to confirm Rick's fate, every other thought we make is just a thoery. Yes, Anne is known to be a good liar, as we have seen, but my suggestion is to wait until the release of the movie to confirm Rick's fate.
Hope that makes sence.
Good explanation.
Also Rick basically needed to go with the helicopter, he was badly hurt and was probably going to die. So he needed their help.
Heath on the other hand had no need to go with anyone. He was perfectly healthy albeit was in trouble with walkers and last time we see him on screen he could just go home.
Exactly. Keep in mind Heath was basically sold off by Jadis, but Rick was saved by Anne.
I feel like Heath will likely appear in at least one of the movies, since Corey Hawkins is more of a movie guy than a TV show guy. But I at least hope he's referenced.
In regards to the main post -- yeah Rick's life was being saved and that much we do know. We know from Heath being captured that he is indeed a captive. Anne isn't trying to imprison Rick here.
