It's a genuine concern of mine because of two very clear factors. She lied to Deanna Monroe and we already had her talk to Rick, saying she was "exceptionally good at reading people". It's very plausible that this line was said in order to drive home the fact that the one character who blatantly lied about themselves, Carol, would soon be in hot water.
Then leading into today's episode, "Forget", we have her threaten a little boy... PETE'S little boy no less, in a terrifying manner. We get this scene, we get her stealing the guns, we get the threat towards the kid... and let's not forget (for those who haven't seen the comic, look away), that Pete broke down in such a manner that when he was being pleaded to calm down by Regina he cut her DOWN. What do you guys think will happen if he hears that his little boy was threatened in such a way? And I don't think they'd throw a scene like that in just to be like 'Hey, Carol's a bad-ass now'. It feels uncomfortably foreboding.
As a Carol fan, someone who feels like her constant development as a character and complexity makes the show what it is right now, I'm honestly fearful. I am hoping somebody else takes the fall instead but it honestly does feel like they're building up this pyramid of cards, and soon they're all going to come crashing down. What do you guys think is going to happen? Any reassuring statements? xD Because this is getting really intense.
Also, you guys have to forgive me if I botched any information about the comic. Admittedly I am not as well versed with it as I am the T.V show, so if I made any mistakes there I apologize.
