If you could save one of Negan's victim's in the season 6/7 lineup, Who would it be and why
Glenn or Abraham.
Only one
Cannot pick both.

If I really had to save one, it'd be Abraham.
Glenn's death futher developed Maggie as a character and whether you liked the result or not there's no doubt that Maggie became a way more important character than what she used to be in the first seasons.
Also, I'd save Abraham for practical reasons. If Abe was alive during the AOW story arc, the war would have ended much sooner, for obvious reasons. Abe was an army sergreant giving him the upper hand in a war like that. That's why Negan killed in the first place, right? He saw him as a possible threat to his future plans. I mean, he wasn't wrong. The dude was basically a human tank. By taking down Abe he basically took down the muscle of the group.
However, I'm happy with how the whole Negan lineup scene went, considering that most of the characters, even the major ones, like Daryl, Carol and Michonne became annoying in seasons 7 and 8. I used to say that Abe shouldn't have died in that moment, giving he outlived his comic counterpart and the writers were teasing a world with Negan and Abe coexisting. Plus, he was basically killed for shock value, but honestly, I'm glad that Glenn and Abe didn't get to live long enough to be ruined in the later seasons.

I totally agree with you on how Glenns death was necessary. Honestly, if Abraham had lived on however, I wish he would have died during season 8. I think they could have made season 7 more interesting if Abraham had been by Ricks side while Daryl was imprisoned. That way we could have seen more Rick/Abraham scenes. But I know if Abraham had lived to season 9, Negan would not have made it any further than the fifth episode. Abraham would have made sure of that.
Going with Glenn.
I know a lot pick Abraham because he was a better fighter but Glenn was extremely valuable being a supply runner.
Also Glen. Was just a much better guy, what character was more optimistic than him? To me having a better attitude and better person to survive with can be more important than abilities. Abe was a hot head at times which causeed a rift the group. To put my own personal experience in to make the choice as an adult in an working environment I've come to realize that personality matters more than talent, at least in my line of work, I'd rather have a Glenn to work with than an Abe anyday.

A very good point with Maggie. She became a leader and stepped up when Glenn was killed.
Personally I don't think the show ruined Michonne in fact when Rick was gone I liked her character a lot. Similar to how Maggie was after Glenn. Both these women stepped up and became stronger people because of it.

First of all, thank you! You make a good point, as well (although I think Glenn died at the right time, considering he was a fully developed character). In all honesty, I liked Rick and Andrea in the comics way more than Rick and Michonne in the show. I think Rick and Andrea only made each other stronger, whereas Michonne became a weaker character after she hooked up with Rick. Well, at least that's my opinion.
However, I'll admit that when Rick left in season 9, Michonne became a good character once again (mainly because Rick wasn't around anymore to keep her back). Overall, I don't blame Rick for the direction Michonne's character took in seasons 7 and 8, rather the writing of the character itself.
By the way, apologies for going off-topic on this thread, I'm not here to judge Richonne.

Agreed with the Rick Andrea vs Rick Michonne. Thought they were a better couple. It felt more natural for an end of the world type of relationship. Where as Rick and Michonne was more a typical romantic relationship.
Plus Andrea is top 3 all time favorite TWD universe characters
Glenn, he was the heart of the show and alot of people related to him more than Rick or Daryl. He was one of the most interesting and relatable charatcers in the show with more story to tell. It was still too soon after Beth's death, and Maggie was sick too so killing off Glenn should have destroyed her realistically as she had no one left. Glenn was a way better character and the show needed to deviant more from the comics.
