Daryl is a cashcow and he has ruined several great characters from the comics. Seems to me that you're just a troll. Also, why revive an old thread?
Characters don't ruin other characters, they just outshine them.
Daryl definitely ruined several characters, including Tyreese and Abraham. Those two should've been Rick's main right-hand men, but Daryl was made to be the only main right-hand man.
Tyreese wasn't Rick's right hand because he was introduced late, because of Rick's hallucinations, his anger at Karen's death, and his untimely death. Not because of Daryl.
Abraham wasn't his right-hand man because of his late introduction, his stubborness, and his otherwise obtuse behavior after joining Alexandria.
None of this had to do with Daryl.
As for who deserved it, well, I would certainly choose Glenn before Abraham or Tyreese. No point confining these things by how the comics did them.
I enjoyed the portrayal of Abraham and Tyreese in the show, but by no means were they portrayed as obvious leadership material in the TV adaptation.
And honestly, how are we defining right-hand man here? Because while Rick has Daryl watching his back, he hasn't been leading anybody. He shrugs off these responsibilities.
While it seems Daryl may assume this role in Season 9, it's been Michonne helping Rick out with the Alexandrians (with Maggie and Carol respectively donating their skills to the Hilltop and Kingdom).
If anything, Michonne is his right hand and Daryl is his sword.
Similar to how Mercer is portrayed in the comics with the Commonwealth, with the exception that Rick and Daryl have a bond that Pamela and Mercer clearly do not.
