Brian runs yelling to William. He mentions that Martin, while returning from patrol, saw a herd, followed it as he didn't know if it was the Whisperers or not, and discovered the Hilltop under attack. William tells Brian to gather up everyone he can.

Brian is not seen nor mentioned in the 23-year time-skip, leaving his fate unknown.
