Buck is a survivor of the outbreak in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.

Almost nothing is known about Buck's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except the fact that he was a friend of Will Dixon, and possibly Daryl Dixon and Jess Collins.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Act One: Sorry, Brother[]
"Cabot Ridge"[]
Buck, alongside Jess, Will, and Daryl, were hunting in a forest for deer. Buck told Will that there are deer in the area, telling him to go find them. While Will was away, Buck was ambushed by two walkers, screaming for help as he is being attacked. By the time Will is able to get back to Buck, he is already dead, having been devoured by the two walkers.

While Will is investigating what Buck saw, he is blindsided and devoured by two walkers. He calls out to Will for help but it is too late.
