They leave things for loved ones and write messages on the stones to honor and pray for them. (...) Well, this is the Camino de Santiago, the Way of Saint James. For hundreds of years, pilgrims walk this trail in search of something. (...) Peace, I guess. Or hope.
The Camino de Santiago or the Way of Saint James is a location in AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. It is a holy pilgrimage route in Galicia, Spain.
Daryl and Roberto stop near a statue on the Camino and Roberto explains the significance of it to Daryl.
Later, Daryl stops at the statue again and leaves Laurent's Rubik's Cube, explaining that it used to belong to a kid he knows who Daryl hopes has gotten a new one by now.
Having escaped from the Chunnel and reached Spain, Stéphane Codron walks the Camino. While paying his respects at the statue of St. James close to Valentina's Lighthouse, Stéphane finds Laurent's Rubik's Cube which had earlier been left by Daryl and stares at it in wonder, seemingly recognizing it as belonging to his young friend.
