Candice appears on several signs around a school in Albany, New York, indicating people were looking for her after the apocalypse ravaged much of the state. Hope sees the signs of Candice, along with signs of many other people in the school. That night, exhausted and suffering from a concussion, Hope hallucinates that she encounters Candice and watches her get eaten alive by the undead. However, Hope later wakes up and realizes Candice was just a figment of her imagination and that Candice likely died a decade ago along with thousands of other people in Albany.
