"La Ofrenda"
Carmen and her daughter are among the crowd of villagers watching as Carol receives medical treatment from Marga. That same day, Carmen and Alba watch from a balcony as Guillermo Torres and the Alcázar convoy arrive in town. Daryl notices the women from the street, including the moment when Carmen and Alba abruptly return inside their home.
Carmen is gathered in a room with the Ofrenda tributes, including her own daughter, as they get ready for the ceremony. She is seated at a table with Justina, working on Alba's outfit. She stands up and pays her respect to Elena when she enters the room. Carmen is then present during the Ofrenda ceremony, standing next to Alba in anticipation as the pigs race down the street. She embraces her daughter and begins to cry when it is revealed that Alba was chosen as the year's tribute. That night, Carmen is seated at the main table with Alba, Federico, Marga, Justina, Elena, Guillermo, Daryl, and Carol. Federico asks Carmen to make a speech, in which she stands up and attempts to say a few words, but struggles. Justina steps in and speaks on Carmen's behalf about Alba being chosen as the Ofrenda tribute.
"El Sacrificio"
In the town square, Carmen embraces her daughter, and she and a group of townspeople witness Justina being taken away by Guillermo and El Alcázar.
"La Justicia Fronteriza"
Carmen and Alba are among the townspeople to survive Los Primitivos' deadly attack on Solaz del Mar. She and her daughter gather in the town square and mourn over the dead while demanding that Federico kill the captive Primitivo.
"Contrabando"
When Antonio accuses Fede of rigging the Ofrenda ceremonies and poisoning Roberto, Carmen steps out onto her balcony to witness the commotion in the square below and is surprised at Antonio's claims.
"Solaz del Mar"
Carmen is among a crowd of townspeople gathering to witness Fede and his men put Antonio into the strappado for being involved in the murder of three Alcázar soldiers. Carmen and a few others are upset at Antonio's torture and leave the scene. Later that day, Carmen and Alba hide Carol and Antonio from Fede's men.
During Fede's attempted execution of Carol, Antonio, and Roberto, Carmen and Alba watch from their apartment above the street. Alba wants to aid Carol, but Carmen tries to hold back her daughter out of fear of retaliation from Fede's men. When Justina returns and exposes Fede for having sent her to El Alcázar after Justina learned that he was rigging La Ofrenda, Carmen and Alba join the other residents in celebrating her return and calling for Fede's punishment, with Carmen demanding they put Fede in the strappado. They are relieved and excited to learn from Justina that El Alcázar has been destroyed by Daryl and Paz, bringing an end to La Ofrenda.
