Chad L. Coleman is an American actor who portrayed Tyreese Williams in AMC's The Walking Dead.
Biography[]
Chad Coleman was raised in a foster home in Richmond, Virginia. As a youth, he participated in track and field, but turned his attention to studying drama after a leg injury.
He attended Virginia Commonwealth University on a scholarship for his freshman year, before dropping out to serve in the United States Army. During his time in the army, from 1995 to 1999, he worked as a video cameraman.
Apart from acting, he has also performed a soundtrack and worked in the art department as well.

- He is one of the three "The Wire" alumni to be added as the cast of the TV Series, followed by Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (Bob), and Seth Gilliam (Gabriel).
- He stated that his character was an ex-football player prior to the outbreak, an occupation his character on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit shared.
- Additionally, he voices the character of Coach in Left 4 Dead 2, who was a football player and later high school football coach.
