Chandler Riggs is an American actor who portrayed Carl Grimes in AMC's The Walking Dead. In the series finale, he came back for a cameo as a Hilltop farmer in the one year timeskip.

He also voiced a Woodbury Goon in GameMill Entertainment's The Walking Dead: Destinies.

Biography[]

Chandler Riggs was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He is the son of Gina Ann Riggs (née Carlton) and William Riggs. He has a younger brother, Grayson Riggs.

He played a Munchkin in his musical theater debut, Atlanta's Fox Theater production of The Wizard of Oz. In 2009, at age nine, he got his first two major acting breaks simultaneously: Tom in the film Get Low and a small part in the television movie The Wronged Man.

In late 2017, he started releasing electronic music under the stage-name of Eclipse.[1]

Trivia[]

  • His mother, Gina Ann, and brother, Grayson, have been extras on the TV Series.
  • He had his own YouTube channel named "theorangetrampoline". On his account, he made vlogs, and gameplay/commentaries of him playing various games with YouTube personalities. On February 25th, 2013, he shut it down for unknown reasons.
  • He and his fellow cast member Alanna Masterson (Tara) share the same birthday.
  • On April Fool's 2022, Chandler jokingly "confirmed" his appearance in the series finale.[2] This ended up being accurate as he has a cameo appearance as a farmer in Hilltop.
    • He made a similar joke a year later for April Fool's 2023, "confirming" that he'd appear in The Ones Who Live.[3] This ended up being indirectly true. While Chandler didn't film any scenes for the series, he did appear in it via archive footage.
