Chapter 3 is the third chapter of Image Comics' Rick Grimes 2000. It was released on July 21, 2021 as part of the third issue of Skybound X.

Plot

The revived Governor offered Rick the chance to join him and Lori in serving Earth's new masters, but Rick Grimes bows to no one—human or alien! However, there's more than meets the eye to these extraterrestrials, as one grows to an incredible size, eviscerating Rick and tearing Lori in half. Death is all but certain for them both, until energy blasts vaporize every walker and alien scumbag in sight!

Andrea has arrived...

Synopsis

As Andrea gives Rick nanites to heal his wounds, the Governor begs for his life and attempts to offer his help, only for Andrea to blast his head off. Andrea picks up Michonne's severed head saying they can't leave her. Andrea explains she and the Freedom Fighters have stolen all kinds of weapons and technology from the Aliens, she also explains people can be brought back to life if there's still any neurons firing in the brain. Andrea brings Rick to the freedom fighters' base, the Sanctuary, where Rick reunites with Carl. Andrea gives Michonne's head to Eugene. As time goes by, Rick meets a man called Jesus, a woman called Princess, and has sex with Andrea. As Rick talks with Andrea about feeling hope, a man named Negan busts in his two bats, Lu and Cille, which he hits Abraham and Maggie with. Negan then combines Lu and Cille together to make "Lucille".
