- "This is... was... my boyfriend, Charlie. We joined the Whisperers. Together. But it... changed him. In a way that couldn't be undone. It changed both of us. "

Charlie is an original character who first appears in a photo in Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: The Final Season. He is a member of a group known as the Whisperers.
Pre-Apocalypse
Washington, D.C.
Nothing is known about Charlie's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that the night the outbreak began, Charlie sat outside his bedroom window, alongside his boyfriend. Suddenly, alarms begin to blare and chaos erupted throughout the city. Charlie went back indoors to investigate, while a fearful James called out to him after finding out what was going on.[2][3]
Post-Apocalypse
Sometime after the outbreak, Charlie, alongside his parents and boyfriend, became members of the Whisperers. Over time the tradition of survival and constant killings of the group took their toll on Charlie and he became very accepting of death and killing, which saddened James greatly. He tried to convince Charlie to leave with him, but couldn’t change his mind. Charlie never stopped loving James, but rejected his change of heart and didn’t fight him when he said he had to go.
Although Charlie's fate is unknown, he was most likely killed before or after the Whisperers disbanded.
