Post-Apocalypse [ ] After convincing Carol to go with him, Ezekiel brings her to the vet clinic that he works at where outside behind the stables is a secret infirmary set up complete with operating tables, medical equipment, and volunteer nurses, including Theo from the Commonwealth Hospital . Ezekiel reveals that their friend Theresa from the Kingdom is awaiting the appendectomy procedure. Ezekiel credits Carol with inspiring him to build the secret infirmary to help all the people unable to afford healthcare or waste time on waiting lists. Theo informs Ezekiel that Theresa's appendix burst and that she needs to get to a hospital, but Tomi says there's no time and they proceed to operate on the Kingdom woman. Fortunately the surgery is a success as Tomi says her prognosis looks good and she is left to recover before returning home.
