Corporal Cole (first name unknown) is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is a member of the California National Guard.
Overview[]
Cole is a sarcastic soldier, who is willing to put his life on the line. He keeps a sense of humor in the midst of the outbreak. While driving through the Dead Zone, Cole makes fun of Travis trying to get Elizabeth, Nick, and Griselda back and laughs when he finds out Elizabeth is his ex-wife. However, he does have a breaking point, and at one point walks out saying, "I can't do this anymore." Later, after entering a library full of walkers, Cole and his fellow soldiers who managed to survive abandon their duty to go to their families.

Nothing is known about Cole's life prior to the outbreak, except that he served as a member of the California National Guard.

"Not Fade Away"[]
Corporal Cole is one of the soldiers stationed inside the safe zone where Madison's neighborhood is located. He is one of the guardsmen to help detain Griselda Salazar and Nicholas Clark and bring them to the medical facility for observation.
"Cobalt"[]
Corporal Cole is one of the men outside the main entrance to Safe Zone India with the rest of his squad as Ofelia Salazar causes a scene. He is unsettled by Ofelia's behavior and wants to abandon his duty, as he is disturbed by the way the civilians are being treated. Lieutenant Moyers witnesses Cole walking out and demands Sergeant Castro to rectify the situation immediately.
While driving through the Dead Zone, Cole questions Travis Manawa's motives for trying to get Liza, Nick, and Griselda back. When Moyers spots an infected and orders Travis to shoot her, Cole, along Castro and Richards, witness the whole event.
After receiving a distress call, Moyers and his men drive to the building overrun with Infected. Cole proceeds into the building with his fellow Guardsmen.
Cole emerges from the library and tosses a grenade, killing a few walkers that were following the squad, before proceeding to abandon the area by driving off in a Humvee with Castro and Richards.
