Dan is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City.
Pre-Apocalypse[]

Nothing is known about Dan's life prior to or as the outbreak began except that he was a tow truck driver for Rockaway Towing.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Manhattan, New York[]
At some point following the outbreak, Dan was bitten or in his tow truck when he died and reanimated.
Season 2[]
"Feisty Friendly"[]
The Burazi release Benjamin Pierce from the trunk of the Croat's car while Negan wanders over to a tow truck with a zombified Dan in the front seat. The Dama notes that it takes a lot to faze Negan unlike the Croat who is too emotional and volatile. Later, Dan is released from the car and brought back to Brugel's museum, and put into a gladiator walker match with Tony, who manages to put down Dan.

Dan died of an unknown cause and reanimated.

After realizing that the "walker" that Dan was fighting against was actually a human man, Tony, Negan spun him around and shoved Tony at Dan. Tony fell on top of Dan, impaling him through the back of the head with his chin spike, putting him down.
