Daniel was an army sergeant before the outbreak. Daniel has shown very abusive behavior towards his son, once making his son recite the books of the Bible while kneeling on broken glass in the garage of their old Victorian house in Richmond.
In their Wilmington home, Daniel locked his son Jeremiah in a footlocker in the basement of the house, with nothing but a Concordance Bible and in his underwear and didn't let him out until he soiled himself and had started to scream so loudly Daniel's wife heard and interceded.
Nothing is known about his life as the outbreak started, except that his son Jeremiah till this day still wants to make him proud.
