When the outbreak began the biotech research labs attempted to develop a serum for the infection. However, it is learned form Sheila Schneider that they never actually found a cure. When attempting to help Sheila, Anna Turner accidentally sets off the lab's alarm system and Daryl and Sheila make a run for the garage.
