After escaping from Losang's ceremony, Daryl instructs Laurent to lead Isabelle and Fallou to the cave where he will meet them. If he doesn't rendezvous with the others in a day, they are to leave and run as far as they can. However, only Laurent and Fallou manage to escape.
The next day, Fallou returns to the cave with the news that he couldn't find any sign of Daryl and Isabelle and they must leave, expecting that if they manage to get away, they will find Laurent and Fallou in Paris.
Daryl and Carol find the cave abandoned and the ashes of the fire cold. However, Daryl discovers that Laurent had hidden his Rubik's Cube for Daryl to find and the two determine that Laurent and Fallou are heading for Paris.
