David is a character first introduced in Season 4 of AMC's The Walking Dead.
Pre-Apocalypse
Decatur, Georgia
Almost nothing is known about David's life before or as the outbreak began, except that he lived in or near Decatur, Georgia, as he was stated by Karen to have been from a group of people in that city who were brought to the prison.
Post-Apocalypse
Season 4
"30 Days Without An Accident"
David is seen on fence duty. He kills many walkers alongside Karen, Chloe, Henry, and another resident. He is shown to be shouting taunts at the walkers as he kills them.
"Infected"
David is seen in the cell with Karen while ensuring the children's safety from the walkers. It is mentioned by Karen that David is sick like she is. This causes the council to move both her and David over to a separate cell block as a precaution against them infecting any other prison survivors with the virus or dying and reanimating. Later on when Tyreese is bringing flowers for Karen, he finds David burned alongside her in a small courtyard.
"Isolation"
David's corpse is seen again as Rick discovers him and Karen's corpse after Tyreese mentioned them. Tyreese also mentioned him later when he dug up two graves for him and Karen.
"Indifference"
He is later mentioned in conversations by Rick and Carol.
"Internment"
Rick confides in Maggie that Carol had killed David and Karen.
"Too Far Gone"
David is mentioned by Rick as one of the two prison survivors Carol murdered.
"The Grove"
David is first mentioned when Tyreese speculates that Lizzie or a stranger killed David and Karen, Carol denies his accusations by pointing out that Lizzie would have let David and Karen reanimate. Later, after the two sat in the house that night after Lizzie's death, Carol admits to Tyreese that she was the one that murdered both David and Karen. Tyreese questions whether they went peaceably and quietly, which Carol confirms. Tyreese ultimately forgives Carol for murdering them.
