“ | Bobby… in the midst of death and suffering and, yeah, even evil… people can find grace. God made us this way, Bobby, don’t you see? God made us in His image. Don’t you ever forget that, honey. People can find grace under the rocks of misery, if they have to.

Delores Stookey (née unknown) is a character first mentioned in The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor. She was the mother of Bob Stookey and a former navy nurse in the Korean War.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Location Unknown[]
Little is known about Delores' life other than she was the mother of Bob Stookey, and used to call him "Bobby". Delores worked as a navy nurse during the Korean War and was deeply religious.
She would use the word "grace" to describe the weathered, world-weary faces of those who're suffering from loss and grief. Even during the worst situations when Bob was young, Delores used to tell him that people can find grace among misery, because God made us in his image.
