Detroit is an African-American survivor who lived at Woodbury. He was descried as being a middle-aged man in greasy dungarees and has a gray beard. He is the town mechanic.

Nothing is known about Detriot's life before or when the outbreak started. It is likely that he lived in or near Woodbury before the outbreak.
Post-Apocalypse
Woodbury, Georgia
It is unknown how long Detroit was in Woodbury, but it can be assumed he's been there for a while. He is present when Major Gene Gavin is giving a speech. He mumbles something and the major, somewhat racist tells him to speak up. He says that he is tired of being pushed around by the major, however he is told to sit down and he does so. Eventually he is heard getting out of his seat and seen walking toward the exit, Gavin draws his gun and fires at the back of Detroit's head and kills him.

After sitting down as told to do so, Detroit gets up and is heard not to long after. Gavin fires at the back of the man's head and sends him into the vending machine, killing him.
