Dr. Barnwell, also known as Barney, is an animal character in Skybound Comet's Clementine. He is a cat who was found by Clementine and taken in by her group.

Due to Dr. Barnwell being only a kitten, they were likely born after the apocalypse.

While searching the surrounding area, Clementine comes across this kitten in a building. Olivia names it "Dr. Barnwell". They bring Dr. Barnwell with them on their journey to Olivia's mother's place. When they're inside, Dr. Barnwell meows, giving away their position to one of the residents, who Clementine proceeds to knock out. They take Dr. Barnwell aboard the plane with them and fly over Vermont. |

Dr. Barnwell is seen sleeping in Clementine's arm on the roof, after the group crashed their plane on Cape Breton Island. Barney stays in a basket on Clementine's back as the group traverse the island and is later seen again laying in Clementine's lap after they heal from an encounter with a hostile group. After Clementine passes out from an infection in her leg, Dr. Barnwell sits on his basket and meows as she gets swept away by the tide. Dr. Barnwell sleeps with Clementine, Ricca, and Olivia in their new home on the Magdalen Islands. Dr. Barnwell is seen sitting next to Mercy at the dinner table. The next morning, Dr. Barnwell is seen sleeping in between Ricca and Olivia. After the two leave in anger, he is left alone with a saddened Clementine. After the island is overrun with walkers, Ricca goes to save him and brings him with her and the remaining survivors onto a boat as they head for Prince Edward Island. Three weeks later, Dr. Barnwell is being held by Clementine inside the group's tent. The next day, Dr. Barnwell is held by Olivia as she gets her picture taken along with Clementine and Ricca, just before they leave with Saa to Greenland. Later that night, Dr. Barnwell is seen sleeping in Derrick's arms. |
