After Nicholas "Nick" Clark flees from an undead Gloria, the driver hits Nick with his car when Nick runs into the street. The driver, alongside bystanders, quickly run over to Nick and call an ambulance. Nick is then taken to hospital.
As the city of Los Angeles began to fall, this man's fate remains unclear. It is unknown whether he was able to survive the outbreak or was killed and/or turned into a zombie.
