Duane is a survivor of the outbreak in Thomas Dunne Books' The Walking Dead. He is a guard in Woodbury who stands outside the food center guarding Davy.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Duane's life prior to or as the outbreak began. He may have lived in or near Woodbury before the outbreak.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Woodbury, Georgia[]

At some point after the outbreak began, Duane became a guard in Woodbury.

The Road to Woodbury[]

"This Is How the World Ends"[]

Duane is first seen outside Deforest's Feed and Seed having a smoke with another guard when Josh Hamilton's group first arrive in Woodbury. The next day, Duane and the other guard stand armed behind Davy inside the store when Josh and Lilly Caul come in to trade for food. He along with the other men stare exclusively at Lilly until she leaves after Sam implies she should sell her body for trade.

On New Years Eve, Megan Lafferty visits Philip Blake. She tells him that while at the Feed and Seed store, Duane informed her that she could find marijuana and possibly Demerol at the Governor's apartment. Philip wonders how Duane would have known something like that.
