Walking Dead Wiki
This article is about the TV Series character. For other pages with the same name, see: Eddie

Eddie is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is the husband of Clara.

Atlanta, Georgia

Almost nothing is known about Eddie's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he was from Ireland. He was in the Atlanta airport terminal with his wife Clara during the early stages of the global outbreak. There, he and Clara were waiting to catch a flight to Puerto Vallarta for their honeymoon when their flight was cancelled. They were held in the terminal until zombies most likely broke in the terminal.

Season 4

"30 Days Without An Accident"

Eddie is found as a zombie, with his head in a bag at Clara's camp. Clara was planning on feeding Rick Grimes to Eddie's reanimated head, but she failed and later committed suicide asking Rick to let her reanimate and be like her husband.

Killed By
  • Unknown Cause (Alive)

At some point during the apocalypse, Eddie died. It is unknown what specifically killed him. Following Eddie's death, Clara cut off his reanimated head and kept it with her wherever she went.

Killed Victims

This list shows the victims Eddie has killed:

  • Numerous counts of zombies and possibly unnamed people

Next to nothing is known about Eddie's relationship with Clara, but since they were married, it can be assumed they loved each other very much. Clara's love for her husband is also demonstrated by the fact that she kept his undead head fed, unable to bring herself to put him down.

Season 4

  • It was revealed during a Talking Dead segment that the producers decided not to show Eddie's head, to allow the audience to imagine what the grotesque zombie head would look like.
