Eddie is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's The Walking Dead. He is the husband of Clara.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Atlanta, Georgia[]
Almost nothing is known about Eddie's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he was from Ireland. He was in the Atlanta airport terminal with his wife Clara during the early stages of the global outbreak. There, he and Clara were waiting to catch a flight to Puerto Vallarta for their honeymoon when their flight was cancelled. They were held in the terminal until zombies most likely broke in the terminal.
Post-Apocalypse[]

"30 Days Without An Accident"[]
Eddie is found as a zombie, with his head in a bag at Clara's camp. Clara was planning on feeding Rick Grimes to Eddie's reanimated head, but she failed and later committed suicide asking Rick to let her reanimate and be like her husband.

At some point during the apocalypse, Eddie died. It is unknown what specifically killed him. Following Eddie's death, Clara cut off his reanimated head and kept it with her wherever she went.

- It was revealed during a Talking Dead segment that the producers decided not to show Eddie's head, to allow the audience to imagine what the grotesque zombie head would look like.
- Eddie is one of nine survivors classified as being undead, the other eight being Jim, Callaway, Pete Dolgen, Eric Raleigh, Winslow, Matias, Lucille and his wife Clara.
- While Duane Jones was also classified as undead at the end of the TV Series, he was finally put down in the episode "King County" of Fear the Walking Dead.
