A place in his settlement! If I took those people out! I got what I wanted and I got to screw you over!
―Eli telling Dwight why he killed the Larson family.[src]

Eli is an antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He served as the primary antagonist of the episode "Till Death".

Overview[]

Eli is a greedy, sadistic, and cunning survivor. He has no qualms with stealing other people's supplies such as when he and his partner steal fruit. Later, when Victor Strand offers Eli a place in the Tower if he kills the Larson family, he takes it. After the deed is done, Eli shows no remorse, even seems to have enjoyed killing them and is happy to have screwed Dwight over.

Pre-Apocalypse[]

Location Unknown[]

Nothing is known about Eli's life prior to or as the outbreak began.

Post-Apocalypse[]

Season 7[]

"Till Death"[]

Eli and his partner are first seen wheeling a stolen cart of fruit out of an unknown survivor's hideout. His partner comments on the odd fruit they are stealing, and Eli tells him they're called dragonfruit. Suddenly, the fruit explodes after being hit by a bullet, and the two surrender their hands as the Dark Horses approach with them at gunpoint. Dwight and Sherry question why they were stealing fruit, and Eli and his partner claim they need to eat as well. Refusing to give up, the two approach them and a struggle ensues, resulting in Dwight shooting his partner in the head. Dwight turns his gun to Eli but he had already run far down the road.

Later, as Dwight is roaming the woods alone, he finds his missing horse. Coming up to comfort it, he is approached by Eli and held at gunpoint. Trying to take the gun from him, Dwight is thrown on the ground. Seizing the opportunity, Dwight signals for his horse to kick Eli, sending him onto the ground. Eli removes his mask and yells in pain. Now having the upper hand, Dwight sees a spilt stack of polaroid photos, similar to those seen in the Tower, of the dead Larson family. Connecting the dots, Dwight questions if Strand had put him up to killing the family. Claiming he didn't know his name or why he wanted them dead, Dwight angrily allows a herd of incoming walkers to devour an incapacitated Eli.
