Elton's Fisherman is a pocket fisherman carried by Elton Ortiz following his departure from the Campus Colony.
Post-Apocalypse[]
When the Endlings depart from the Campus Colony, Elton Ortiz appears to choose to carry this instead of a weapon of some kind unlike the rest of the group for an unknown reason, although Elton is seen clutching a small knife on a few occasions that he never uses. While Elton often has his fisherman close to hand, it almost never serves a practical purpose.
Following the escape of the Endlings from the Blaze of Gory, Elton uses it to do some fishing off of a dock, although he doesn't seem to actually catch anything.
While trying to cross the Mississippi River with a herd closing in on them, Felix Carlucci borrows Elton's fisherman and uses some of the fishing wire to string a net between two trees that buys the group a few more minutes to get their boat going. The herd quickly breaks through the fishing wire, but it buys them just enough time to finish the boat.
Later, while protecting an unconscious Percy from walkers, Elton uses his fisherman to tie two of the walkers up and Silas' Wrench to put down another one.
After joining the Perimeter, Elton trades in his fisherman for a much more practical axe as a weapon, one that appears to have been created by the Perimeter residents.
