Post-Apocalypse
At some point, Patrick Sutherland was infected and turned into a zombie. As police responded, they fired their guns to take down the zombified Mr. Sutherland. Emily heard the gunshots from the shooting and was shocked to hear about it, as she gave her interview to a local newspaper.
As the city of Los Angeles quickly fell to the undead, Emily's fate remains unclear. It is unknown whether she was able to survive the outbreak or was killed and/or turned into a zombie.
