Erma Horvath is Dale's wife. Dale and Erma had begun traveling across the United States, enjoying their retirement before running into the zombie crisis at the end of their run in Georgia.

Not much is known about Erma's life before or as the apocalypse began, apart from she was married to Dale and was traveling across America.
Post-Apocalypse
Hardly anything is known about Erma after the apocalypse except that she was bitten by zombies within the early stages of the outbreak, succumbing to the infection soon after.

- In TV Series, Erma's name is changed to Irma Horvath, as seen on the side of Dale's RV by the door. Also, in the TV Series, she died of cancer two years before the undead apocalypse.
