Joel Rogers is an American actor who portrayed a camp survivor in "Dead Weight" in AMC's The Walking Dead.

Biography[]

Joel Rogers is a Veteran Character Actor who has done TV, Film, Stage, Print, Voiceovers and Commercials from the Ohio Valley to Southern California(Palm Springs) to Chicago to Atlanta through the years producing,directing and playing various characters (Leads, Featured and Background). Semi-retired from various business interests and now living in the Atlanta Area Suburbs, he's available full or part time for interesting Film-TV acting roles,Commercials, Spokesman or Print Modeling. Chicago, L.A., Atlanta or will travel.

Various roles and characters have been: CEO, President, Businessman, Judge, Lawyer, Doctor,Preacher, Reporter, Newscaster, Salesman, Country Guy, Guitarist-Balladeer, Outdoorsman, Pro Golfer, Detectives, Uncle, Father, Grandfather, Bad Guys to Good Guys to Family Guys, Cops to Crooks, Mainstream to Mobsters ..and more.

Some inspirations are Jon Voight, Kiefer Sutherland, Martin Sheen, Clint Eastwood,Robert Redford, Christopher Walken, David Caruso, Alec Baldwin, Andy Griffith, Jerry Stiller, Carroll O'Connor, Fred Willard, Will Ferrell, etc. Also, Second City, Saturday Night Live, Steppenwolf, Ensembles, etc. Joel enjoys playing roles from drama to mainstream to comedy.

Some recent awards are: Hugo Television Award, Gold Plaque for the Best Situation Comedy. New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards, First Place for the Best On-Campus TV Station category. Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, Best Student Production Nomination from the Television Academy. These all were group awards for Chicago's Columbia College 2010 Frequency TV series of "Debbie's Got Class" in which Joel played the lead role of Principal Pinman.
