Gavin is a former antagonist and a survivor of the outbreak in Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is a member of the Saviors.

Gavin first appears holding Carl prisoner at the meeting between Negan and Rick. He is later seen standing guard near Negan several other points during the issue.

Gavin accompanies John when he meets Pamela and Rick in front of the gates.

Gavin is not seen or mentioned in the 25 year time-skip, leaving his fate unknown.

  • Gavin is the third character to be named somewhere else than the comic, others being Charlie, Marco, Reggie, Craig, Andy, Liam, Carlos, Patrick and Sandra.
    • In 2012, Movember inspired charity Gallary of Mo teamed up with Charles Adlard to offer a reader the chance to appear in the Walking Dead comic as either a member of Negan's gang or a walker, along with a "Mustache Movember" themed walker sketch. The winner was Gavin Meakings from the UK who appeared in Issue 107 . Whilst the character is named in the script he is not named in the comic.
  • Gavin has the longest absence of a character in the comic series with a total of 75 issues between appearances.
