"Gone" is the sixteenth and final episode of the seventh season of AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. It is the one-hundred and first episode of the series overall. It premiered on June 5, 2022. It was written by Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldberg and directed by Sharat Raju.

Plot

Morgan finds a new ally who turns out to be more trouble than he bargained for.

  • Madison is shown to frequently require the use of an oxygen tank. Morgan asks if it's from smoke inhalation from the fire at the stadium, but she only states that it was "something like that". When asked how she survived the stadium, Madison simply says that she's full of surprises.

Episode Highlights

  • After being captured by a revenge-seeking posse, Morgan is rescued by Madison Clark who kidnaps Mo and gives him to an organization that is stealing kids from parents.
  • While trying to force Madison to help him find Mo, he discovers that she works for PADRE and realizes her identity after seeing Madison's tattoos with Nick and Alicia's names. In exchange for helping him get Mo, Morgan promises to lead Madison to her kids.
  • Morgan and Madison meet Ava and pretend to be helping her with her unborn child by taking her to PADRE before being forced to hide from the posse. Ava reveals that she was trying to trick her way into PADRE after Madison had kidnapped her daughter a year before.
  • Morgan is eventually forced to tell Madison about Nick's death and Alicia's believed death.
  • Madison reveals that she kidnapped kids for PADRE in exchange for being taken to her own, but she changed her mind about seeing Nick and Alicia after kidnapping many children for PADRE. Afterwards, she was afraid that PADRE would find Nick and Alicia and make them take her place.
  • With the posse, made up of parents whose kids were kidnapped, has them cornered, Morgan and Ava turn Madison over to them. After the posse buries Madison to drown, Ava joins them to get revenge and her daughter back.
  • Morgan rescues Madison, only to have them discover that Ava and the posse were murdered. The two are forced to put Ava and several others down before Madison agrees to help Morgan rescue Mo.
  • By directing PADRE soldiers to the rest of his group, Morgan gets himself and Madison taken to PADRE. However, Madison admits that she doesn't actually know where it is.
