Season 3[]

"La Ofrenda"[]

Gustavo is on gate duty at the main entrance of Solaz del Mar with Paz and another guard. When Roberto and Justina arrive with Daryl and Carol, Paz orders Gustavo to open the gate to allow the group into the village. Gustavo complies and remains on duty as the gate is closed upon their entry inside. Later, Gustavo is among the crowd of villagers watching as Carol receives medical treatment from Marga.

Gustavo and Marco help position the townspeople around the town square as the Alcázar convoy arrives with Guillermo in the lead vehicle. Holding his son, he is surprised when an upset Jaime starts yelling at Guillermo and watches as Sergio and an Alcázar soldier take him away. The next day, he is among the townspeople helping set up for the Ofrenda ceremony. He and Sergio open the starting gates of the race course as the Ofrenda ceremony is officially started. That night, Gustavo attends dinner in the town square with many neighbors and friends.

"El Sacrificio"[]

In the town square, Gustavo is with Paz, Carmen, Alba, and a group of townspeople as they witness Justina being taken away by Guillermo and El Alcázar.

"La Justicia Fronteriza"[]

Gustavo participates in the defense of Solaz del Mar from Los Primitivos, killing two of the invaders. However, his nephew, Alonzo, is killed in the battle. Seeing Gustavo's devastation, Carol puts down the zombified Alonzo, saving Gustavo from having to do it.

"Limbo"[]

Gustavo will appear in this episode.

"Contrabando"[]

At night, as Carol breaks into Federico's house, she spots Gustavo, Sergio, and Marco walking and talking in the street. Sergio tells Gustavo to come see him if he ever needs medicine for his wife.

"Solaz del Mar"[]

When Daniel and Rodo approach Solaz del Mar, Gustavo meets them at the main gate and questions why they are in town. After being told they are here to sell goods at the store, Gustavo orders a guard to open the gate. That evening, as Federico's men search for Antonio, Carol, Daniel, and Rodo, Gustavo is among a group of townspeople helping Carol and Antonio escape Solaz del Mar. After being led to an alleyway by Jaime, Gustavo greets the pair and leads them to safety. Before he follows them through the route, he breathes a deep sigh while showing a sign of conflict on his face before following Carol and Antonio. It is revealed that Gustavo betrayed Carol and Antonio by turning them in to Federico in exchange for medicine for his sick wife. At the town square, Gustavo is one of the townspeople leading small groups of walkers for the public execution of Roberto, Antonio, and Carol. He runs inside once the walkers are let loose and heads for an upper-floor balcony. When Daryl arrives and starts shooting at walkers and guards, Gustavo is prepared to fight back when Justina appears, prompting Federico and his men to shoot all of the walkers to save her. Upon Federico being exposed for all of his lies, Gustavo takes him into custody and leads him to the dungeon.
