Hank is a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is the husband of Martha.
Overview[]
Hank is a loving and caring husband. After he is fatally wounded, Martha tries to get people to help him, but no one comes. Hank's death is the main cause of Martha's insanity, believing that the world is hopeless after seeing no one stopped to help her husband.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Austin, Texas[]
Nothing is known about Hank's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he had a wife named Martha and lived with her in the Metro-area of Austin.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Season 4[]
"MM 54"[]
In a flashback, Martha and Hank get into a car accident after another vehicle clipped their car. Martha crashes into the guardrail which pierces through the car and into Hank, fatally wounding him. The nature of the accident keeps him alive and if Martha removes him from the guardrail, he will bleed out. She desperately tries to flag down other cars for help but no one will stop, leaving her helpless and devastated. Eventually, Hank dies from his wounds and is put down by his wife. He is then buried nearby underneath a tree, in which Martha spends many nights mourning at his graveside.
"... I Lose Myself"[]
Morgan Jones finds a dying Martha at Hank's grave and attempts to help her despite Martha's protests. Martha explains to Morgan what had happened to Hank and how it had led into her descent into insanity.
