Haralson, Georgia is a location first encountered in The Walking Dead: Search and Destroy. It is a small community of survivors formerly lead by Ashley Duart and apart of the Survivor Towns network.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Little is known about Haralson prior to the outbreak except it was once a sleepy little farming community on the southern edge of Coweta County. Not much more than a couple of intersecting two-lanes, a Baptist church, a coffee shop, a small grocery store, and a few modest wood-frame homes and professional buildings. The little hamlet looked as though it had been built by Walt Disney and art directed by Norman Rockwell.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Three years before the events of Search and Destroy, Ashley Duart founded the town after escaping the walker infested suburbs of Atlanta. She became the leader of a small group of twenty-two survivors who militarized the center of town by erecting massive barricades of found materials, mounted with fifty-caliber gun placements at each corner and a proliferation of concertina wire along every fence.
About five years into the apocalypse, Ash makes contact and forms an alliance with a number of small villages surrounding Atlanta. Such as Woodbury and Moreland. The communities band together to reconnect a railway between all their settlements and the city.
Search and Destroy[]
After Woodbury and numerous other settlements are raided by Beau Bryce's Militia, they move onto Haralson who are successful in defending their settlement from the attackers. While nobody is kidnapped and the town isn't destroyed, they suffer five casualties. Ash and several survivors likely pursue the Militia and discover the body of Mike Bell, killed execution style among his wind machines. His body is retrieved and taken to the town's makeshift morgue and given special preparations.
That night Lilly, Tommy, Norma, Miles and Jinx from Woodbury are rescued by Ash while in pursuit of the kidnappers and taken back to Haralson. In the makeshift morgue Ash warns them about how dangerous this group is and shows them the body of Mike. Ash finds out that every major survivor settlement in their network from here to College Park has been attacked. Moreland and Heronville aren't answering the radio and might be completely destroyed. Despite urging Lilly's group not to go after the Militia, Ash knows they'll seek revenge anyway and lets them stay the night. Lilly and her group meet up in the church rectory to give anybody who wants to back out a chance to do so, after Lilly leaves, the others discuss what to do and decide to go along with the rescue mission. The next morning just after dawn, Lilly meets Ash in the courtyard outside Williams Grocery which borders the North gate and leaves with her group in a horse drawn Frankenstein looking Volvo station wagon.
Return to Woodbury[]
A month before the events of Return to Woodbury, Ash and the Quinn children are kidnapped in the fields outside Haralson by Spencer-Lee Dryden's group and taken to his prison camp. Ash manages to smuggle a flare in with her down the back of her pants. Haralson appear to regularly search the surrounding area for Ash and the kids as Jamie Quinn, Frank Steuben and Caleb Washburn find Ash and the Sixteenth Street IKEA survivors in a huge vehicle chase across rural Georgia.
It can be assumed that with, at most, ten able bodies still living in the town, Haralson is still active. It's likely Ash and the kids eventually returned to the town after Woodbury was returned to a functioning safe-zone.
