Heather Campbell is a survivor of the outbreak and one of the seven protagonists of the first half of Season 1 in Overkill's The Walking Dead, until her demise. She is also the protagonist of her self-titled trailer.
Overview[]
Heather was a kindergarten teacher in Washington D.C. when people started turning. She taught young generations the difference between right and wrong, but now finds herself blurring out the line. However, Heather still hopes to find the good in all people. She just learned when to stop looking.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Baltimore, Maryland[]
Not much is known about Heather's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except she won first place in a track tournament an was a kindergarten teacher in Baltimore.
Washington, D.C.[]
She later moved to Washington, D.C. before the outbreak occurred.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Season 0[]
"Heather Trailer"[]
Sometime into the outbreak, Heather went looking for supplies at a convenience store until she was ambushed by a group of bandits. She manages to kill one of the bandits, but the other two get the jump on her and take her bag. She later tracks them down, locking them behind a gate with walkers closing in on them. They give her back her bag in exchange for the key, however the key doesn't work and Heather walks off, leaving them to be devoured.

At some point, Heather found Anderson Banks banging on pipes, hoping to attract walkers to devoured him after his wife and daughter died, but Heather talked him out of it. Together, they set up a camp and brought other survivors in.
Season 1[]
"Home Sweet Home"[]
The next morning, a group known as the Brigade came into the Anderson Camp, giving them the option to "join or die". As soon as they said that, Heather looked at their leader Hurst with defiance. Hurst then immediately executes Heather as a way to intimidate the survivors, however all this did was fuel them.

Heather's corpse is later seen strangled up on the poles of the Lincoln Memorial.

When the Anderson camp was surrounded by the Brigade, they offered to allow the Anderson camp to "Join or die." After refusing, Hurst shoots Heather through the eye, killing her, as an intimidation tactic.

- Heather is one of nine protagonists to die in the entire Walking Dead franchise thus far, the others being Rick Grimes from the Comic Series, Lee Everett from the Telltale Series, Jeffrey Grimes from The Walking Dead: The Alien, Brian Blake from the Novel Series, Karina and Hannah from the Webisodes, Jake Powell from the Flight 462 Webisodes, and Chen Wenzhu from The Walking Dead: Typhoon.
- Heather is the first named character in the game to die, as well as the only one of the seven protagonists to die.
