In a flashback, Nick and Gloria wait in the hallway of their rehabilitation facility. Behind them, Hillary and her mother are waiting to be introduced to Patel, which they eventually are by another staff member of the rehab center.

As the city of Los Angeles quickly fell to the undead, Hillary's fate remains unclear. It is unknown whether she was able to survive the outbreak or was killed and/or later reanimated.
