The Hippodrome is an abandoned race track in France that appears in AMC's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. It is located west of Paris and it is used by Carol Peletier and Ash Patel as a landing strip for Ash's Plane.

Nothing is known of the hippodrome's history before the outbreak other than it was a place for horse racing.

"Moulin Rouge"[]
Carol Peletier and Ash Patel land Ash's Plane at this race track near Paris. Carol instructs Ash to hide the plane while she searches for Daryl and to leave if she doesn't return within a couple of weeks. However, Ash refuses to leave without her.
"Vouloir, C'est Pouvoir"[]
Several days after her departure, Carol returns to the race track with Daryl Dixon who expresses concern about how unsafe the location is long-term. The two find that Ash barricaded the garage area where he's parked the plane and set up deadly traps for any intruders, but there's no sign of Ash himself. Instead, they only find Pierre and two other men who were sent by Anna Valery to find the plane. Having fallen into Ash's traps, the other two men have died and reanimated while Pierre is only barely alive still. Pierre reveals that Ash had left and not returned and, at his request, Daryl kills Pierre before putting down his companions.
The two later rescue Ash from Maison Mère where he had gone seemingly in search of fuel for his plane. While Carol tends to Ash, Daryl leaves in search of fuel from the Demimonde which Anna agrees to provide for them. However, Ash is infuriated when Carol finally admits to her lies to get Ash to fly her to France in the first place.
Daryl later returns to the race track with the fuel for the plane and Laurent, but Ash reveals that the plane only holds three people, meaning that someone will have to stay behind.
"Au Revoir Les Enfants"[]
As Daryl's Group prepares Ash's Plane for takeoff, Daryl and Carol argue about which one of them will stay behind while Ash flies Laurent to safety at the Commonwealth. Attempting to find a hose for the plane, Daryl and Ash discover that part of a parking garage beneath the stadium part of the hippodrome is overrun by a herd of burners.
Codron and Fallou arrive with the news that Jacinta's still alive and on her way with the Power of the Living and the Union of Hope. As the group readies the plane for immediate takeoff, Jacinta makes a deal with Anna to lead them to the hippodrome. However, at the last minute, Anna betrays Jacinta and leads her into the burner-infested part of the parking garage, resulting in the deaths of Anna and a few Union soldiers along with Jacinta getting bitten, but also buying time for the plane to be finished.
As the plane begins takeoff, Jacinta assaults the field in force while Daryl, Stéphane and Fallou fend them off to buy Ash time. Despite the Power of the Living and the Union of Hope's best efforts, the plane takes off for America with Ash and Laurent aboard, Carol having decided to stay behind at the last minute. The escape of Ash and Laurent brings an end to the battle. Bitten and falling into despair with the loss of Laurent, Jacinta commits suicide.
Afterwards, the hippodrome is left abandoned once again.
