Holly Gaines is an original character from The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.
Pre-Apocalypse[]
Location Unknown[]
Not much is known about Holly's life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that she was born in 1950 and was an accomplished sculptor. On her way to Atlanta for a show at the prestigious Sacrament 5 Gallery, she had taken a few days off to roam through the Georgia backcountry for inspiration when the world took a turn for the worse. Holly is a fighter and a survivor, but is very awkward socially.
Post-Apocalypse[]
Rural Georgia[]
When the outbreak began, Holly took cover in an abandoned house next to a diner. The diner is where Daryl Dixon has a chance to stop and search for supplies and gas after finding some fuel and ammo. Daryl can search the house where Holly is hiding. If he does, Holly taps on the window telling him to come inside. If he goes and speaks to her, she asks for a lift and is happy to join Daryl's group.
If Daryl does not search the house, Holly will not be found, leaving her status unknown.
Firesign Stadium[]
If Holly reaches Firesign Stadium, she and another survivor will board the last evacuation helicopter. When Daryl's brother Merle informs Daryl that the helicopter pilot has been bitten, Daryl tries to tell Holly but the helicopter takes off, leaving Holly's fate unknown.

Holly along with any other survivor that may survive till the Evac in Georgia, most likely died in a helicopter crash. As Merle notices that the "Whirlybird Pilot" had been bitten, and said he was already looking like he was going to turn. The pilot might have turned mid-flight causing a crash, possibly killing Holly and the other passengers.
